Another weekend with Asher

Another Friday night has come and gone and another visit with our little Asher has come to an end. I miss him already.

My husband got here with Asher on Friday evening and I was a little nervous about Ashers reaction to our christmas tree. Well not exactly his reaction but I just wasn't sure what he would do.

At first he just stood in front of the tree in awe. That didn't last long though, he started to get closer and started touching the lights..the ornaments..

He got a little more comfortable and started ripping bows from the tree till i had to put a stop to it lol. He sure doesn't like it when grandma tells him NO. Once he was done eyeing the tree he immediately saw a christmas dishtowel that was hanging from the ovendoor handle...we usually don't have a towel hanging there and he had to take it off right away. One thing that really amazes me with Asher is his memory of where things usually are. If something is out of place he has to "fix it". Considering he's been coming only once night a week it's pretty interesting to watch.

After dinner it was playtime with grandpa. This time grandmas pillows were the victims of these two. Every pillow I own was thrown on the living room floor and a game of pillow fight and let's throw ourselves and jump on the pillows ensued. This is something I would have never let my kids do, I sure have relaxed a lot since my kids were young. Asher had the best time, with all the toys he has here all you have to do is throw a few pillows on the floor and watch him have more fun than playing with dozens of toys.

After playing around it was time to watch Curious George and then it was off to bed.

And he woke back up at 2 am. GRRRR..We can not figure out why he keeps waking up in the middle of the night at our house. I thought maybe his room was too hot so we closed off one of the vents. Appearently that wasn't it. I listened to him cry for about 15 minutes before I got up, and we sat in the living room till 3:15 watching Curious George and afterwards i put him back to bed. At 5:45 he was back up. Sigh. Thankfully hubby got up with him and let me sleep in.

All morning Asher just wasn't himself, well of course not because I'm sure he was tired..so were we. Only way we could make him happy was to go in the garage or outside with him. That caused a whole different kind of problem. Asher refuses to wear a jacket. Period. I'm not just talking that he cries for a few minutes and gets over it..oh no..i'm talking..wrestling with him trying to get it on..listen to him cry and watch him tearing the jacket back off..he just refuses to do anything as long as his jacket is on. If i left it on for an hour i will be listening to him cry and not move for an hour. He hates Jackets. He didn't last year. My solution: i put his pj's under his sweatshirt and sweatpants. But still..we have to figure out a better solution, it's getting colder and colder. I'm just glad today wasn't too bad after the sun came out.

Asher enjoyed feeding the dogs....one kibble at a time

Helping grandpa
And just being outside

Can't wait till he comes back next weekend, I will try to get lots of sleep beforehand : )
Still love you forever and ever..even at 2 am XOXO G'ma
