I met my daughters boyfriend at noon to get Asher and we had non stop fun the whole day. He was being so good! We raced, we played hide and seek outside...actually I don't think Asher understands the concept of this game...when I start running off and yell "Grandma is gonna hide" he takes off into the opposite direction and just cracks up. LOL. It IS a lot of fun though. Love watching that little boy laugh out loud.
He loves this pink ride on toy..only one we have he can actually scoot around on.
We'll have to fix that!
We had so much fun and did so much running around...by 8pm he looked like this:
He passed out on the living room floor : )
Since he passed out so early Saturday evening, he woke up at 5:30 this morning. He got a good night sleep, not something we can say for ourselves but that is ok. Asher started saying a few new words. Backpack or in Ashernese Bagpag..my husband got him to say stick today and this morning while my hubby was making breakfast he started saying a new word. See for yourself
Yep, his new word is Pancake. Only took me about 10 tries to finally get it on video and how cute is he?
After lots more playing outside and helping grandpa with who knows what we ended back up inside for a bath and lunch and then I decided it was his naptime. Asher didn't think so, he decided he needed to check out the sales ads in the paper, because as we all know..grandmas don't have a clue when grandkids are tired.
And after trying very hard for 10 minutes to convince me that it's not time for a nap I snapped this gem
I see a trend here!
It was another wonderful weekend with our little Asherman, unfortunately we did get some bad news Saturday evening. I have posted about Gracie a few times. A young girl that we met the day we took my daughter and Asher to Jills house in Bloomington, Indiana to start Ashers proton radiation. Gracies mom found out in January that Gracies tumor was growing again and knowing that proton radiation was their last hope they had to make some very hard decisions . When my daughter found out she immediately decided to go see Gracie one more time. She flew to Minnesota in March to visit over the weekend. Sadly, we found out yesterday that Gracie earned her wings, please keep her and her family in your prayers. Our hearts ache knowing that cancer claimed another child. RIP Gracie, i'm sure your wings look wonderful on you.

Asher is looking good.
ReplyDeleteMy prayers go out to Gracie's family. <3
